Cheeseheads for a Day

It was a perfect Fall day in Wisconsin. Turtles were rode. Giddy smiles were given by Hayes at Jordan's favorite spot.

Pumpkins were picked. Cheese curds were consumed. Apple doughnuts were devoured. Apples were picked. Grandparents were loved. Photographs were taken.

The beauty of Wisconsin was all around us. Sunflowers were in full bloom. Wine was bought by the case. Piggy backs were given. Kids were angels. Photo sessions were admired by strangers (this sweet old couple who couldn't take their eyes of Charly and Hayes), and many memories were made.

This was Hayes's first trip to Wisconsin and Charly's third. She still remembers the trip from last year, and I can't wait to see what she will remember from this year. Mom and Dad's Honda Pilot can still fit the six of us plus six pumpkins, six squash, mini pumpkins and gourds, two coolers, a diaper bag, toys, apple cider, bags of apples, dozens of doughnuts, DVDs, case of wine...I don't think we will be adding any more to this family any time soon...unless we buy a van!!

While the kid photos are adorable, I do so love the sunflower photo that follows G'pa Denny. And I reckon this was the same weekend we went…
