With 4.9 seconds left versus UNLV in the first round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament, Ali Farokhmanesh etched himself in UNI folklore for years to come by sinking a three pointer from darn near half court to oust the Runnin' Rebels and give the Panthers their second ever NCAA Tournament victory. The shot eerily resembled Maurice Newby's three-pointer that sank 3-seeded Missouri in 1990 for the Panther's first ever tournament win.Charly was pretty excited about the win too. She was dreaming of Prince Ali all night long!
